Cardex 2008 - 25th to 27th May 2008 in Cairo International Convention Center

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel inaugurated Cardex 6th Digital Assurance Exhibition and Conference. Dr. Kamel also contributed to the opening session entitled: “Large scale government ID projects and Challenges of identity management in the Arab world.

Built over a 5500 square meter-space, Cardex 2008 exhibition hosts 92 companies, including 32 international firms and corporations that offer the latest smart card technologies

Cardex 2008 conference tackles three tracks. The first focuses on Arab countries experiences in carrying out ID cards, airport and boarder security systems via smart cards. The second reviews state-of-the-art smart cars and their applications in e-governments and wireless waves recognition. The third track discusses payment technologies, stock market services and technologies of banking and information security in cooperation with major organizations working in this field.
